Today, around one in three adults don’t get enough sleep, or about 35% of the population. This isn’t good for your physical or emotional health, and you want to feel and look good every day.
As your trusty companion, I’m going to give you tips and tricks how to relax and destress before bed. They can help you fall asleep quicker, stay asleep longer, and feel better when you wake up.
Write Down Your Thoughts
If you’re someone who chronically worries to the point that it keeps you up at night, it can be beneficial to write down whatever is worrying you an hour or two before bed. This gives you time to process it before you attempt to go to sleep.
It’s also a great way mentally check it off your ‘to-do’ list. You’ll be able to go to bed, and you should feel relief because writing your worries down will help you work through them or put them in perspective. You do want to avoid writing them down right before bedtime though so all of these worries aren’t front and center when you lay down.
Invest in a Massage Chair
People who suffer from aches and pains can have a more difficult time falling asleep and sleeping through the night. If you’re stressed out, your body will feel it in the form of aches, pains, and sore muscles.
An easy way to combat these various aches and pains is to invest in the best cheap massage chair. You can sit in your massage chair or recliner for 20 minutes or 30 minutes before bed and treat yourself to a relaxing massage.

You can experiment with different teas to find out which ones you prefer. Chamomile, Passionflower, Lemon Balm, Blue Vervain and many more have been proven to be effective in relaxing the drinker. A few of them even have mild sedative properties, so you’ll slip off to sleep quickly.
